Job Description
  • Ensure that all vehicles in the fleet are properly maintained and serviced according to manufacturer recommendations and regulatory requirements. This includes scheduling routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as vehicle utilization, fuel consumption, maintenance issues, safety hazards, and downtime to identify trends and prepare reports for areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for management tracking and efficiency
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of all vehicles within the fleet, including detailed records of maintenance history, mileage, and costs.
  • Oversee the acquisition process for new vehicles, including researching, selecting appropriate vehicles, negotiating purchase or lease agreements, and ensuring compliance with budgetary constraints and organizational needs.
  • Manage the disposal process for old or obsolete vehicles
  • Develop and manage the fleet budget, including forecasting expenses, tracking costs, and identifying opportunities for cost savings or optimization.
  • Maintain accurate records of all vehicles in the fleet, including registration, insurance, maintenance history, and other relevant information.
  • Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures for drivers, including driver training programs, vehicle safety inspections, and accident reporting and investigation.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as procurement, finance, operations, and human resources departments to align fleet management objectives with overall organizational goals.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to ensure the safety, reliability, and longevity of the fleet.
  • Coordinate with external vendors such as repair shops, fuel suppliers, and equipment manufacturers to ensure efficient and cost-effective fleet operations.
  • Utilize fleet management software and telematics systems to track vehicle location, performance, and driver behaviour, and leverage data analytics to optimize fleet operations.
  • Any other administrative ad-hoc work as required.
Job Requirements
  • Min 2 years’ experience in facilities and fleet management
  • Diploma or equivalent in any specialization
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders
  • Having a drivers' license will be advantageous
