About this position 

Global supply chain pressures have scaled to new heights and in an unprecedented manner – countries and international travels opening post-Covid, is driving high volatility in consumer demand and sales, while high commodity inflations persist with limited signs of recovery from increasing shortages in labor, talent, raw materials and shipping. 

This is a new role created to support our growing Procurement & Supply operations, across Food and non-Food categories. He/She is responsible to execute purchasing and inventory control duties, in collaboration with appointed suppliers, 3rd party Distribution Centre, internal cross-functional stakeholders and YUM! Supply Chain. 

This is an excellent career opportunity for young Supply Chain professionals, if you would like to gain hands on experience in Procurement & Supply Chain operations, yet keen to keep career options open after the 1-year contract period. 

Main duties and responsibilities 

  1. Purchasing
  • Generate purchase orders and maintain the filing system of purchasing records 
  • Complete stock receiving and invoice processing and verification, ensuring payment submissions comply to Group guidelines 
  • Follow up with suppliers if incoming orders do not adhere to delivery deadlines or specifications 
  • Liaise with freight forwarders and agents to ensure all orders are shipped on time; coordinate as needed, for any damage claims requiring replacement and/or compensation 
  • Assist Restaurant Operations Teams for ad-hoc purchase requisitions and coordinate despatch arrangement to stores 
  1. Inventory Control & Distribution
  • Coordinate with 3rd party logistics provider and other cross-functional teams on stock availability and delivery schedules and to maintain tight inventory control 
  • Oversee monthly ageing and inventory reports, highlighting variations vs budget and escalate for actions 
  • Track Limited Time Only (LTO) products and follow up on actions to avoid or reduce LTO write-off 
  • Assist in half yearly stock count with finance department, ensure proper identification and reconciliation of inventory including troubleshooting discrepancies between stocks and records 
  • Office/warehouse stationery purchasing 
  • First point of escalation for any urgent store requests related to Product Supply 
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned e.g. support logistics & cost savings initiatives 
  1. Any other duties and responsibilities assigned by Reporting manager e.g. Tender Administration, ERP Master Data set-up etc.
Job Requirements
  • Degree in Supply Chain/Logistics, or Diploma holders with relevant work experience 
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills, resourceful, self-driven, proactive, willing to learn and independent 
  • Good proficiency in written and spoken English 
  • Demonstrated experience in working in fluid environments, working independently and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders 
  • Good knowledge and proficiency in the use of Microsoft office – Words, Excel, PowerPoint 
  • Possess a positive, forward-looking attitude and learning mindset
